Glaze London Appointed to Restore Windows at Iconic Bourne Hall
22nd January 2026
Glaze London has successfully completed a major re-glazing project at the historic Bourne Hall in Ewell, Surrey, following a competitive tender process. The Grade II listed landmark required a specialist approach to window replacement, balancing modern performance with strict conservation requirements.
Originally redeveloped in the late 1960s as a library, museum and community centre, Bourne Hall is instantly recognisable for its striking circular design and prominent position within landscaped public parkland. The building remains a vital hub for the local community, hosting cultural, educational and social events year-round.
As fenestration specialists, Glaze London was responsible for the replacement of 270 bespoke windows across two floors. Working closely with the local authority and conservation officers, the team delivered a precise like-for-like glazing solution to preserve the architectural integrity of the listed structure.
All works were carefully coordinated to minimise disruption to the public, with a strong focus on health, safety and programme efficiency. The project was completed on time and to a high standard, receiving positive feedback from both the client team and conservation stakeholders.
This project further reinforces Glaze London’s reputation as a trusted installer of high-quality windows and doors for heritage and complex buildings across London and the wider UK.
